Core Stability Training
All exercise programs - rehabilitation, fitness & sports training - should begin with a firm understanding and mastery of core stabilization exercises. These exercises will form the foundation for a safe and effective exercise program.
The core consists of the deepest layer of muscle and fascia around the spine and abdomen - the transverse abdominals, the abdominal obliques, the multifidi, and the thoraco-lumbar fascia. Although these muscles provide only minimal movement for the body, they are the primary stabilizers of the spine that prepare the body for movement.
Proper function of the core is essential for physical health.
